InDesign Calculations
Sometimes in InDesign you need to change one of the numerical values relating to an object: it might be an image frame, object position or text size for example.
If you need to make the change by a specific value (move it left by 26mm etc.) let InDesign do the maths for you.
Click in the desired box within the Control panel, then enter your calculation after the value and press the Return key. (Enter on Windows.)

Calculation symbols can be:
- + Plus
- – Minus
- / Divide
- * Multiply
You can also use % Percentage increments ie. 125% and InDesign will work that out for you too.
