Kingston Christmas Craft Fair Poster

The Kingston Christmas Craft Fair needed a poster – something that presented the look and feel of craft markets, but with the traditional Christmas elements that people would expect.

Red, green, white and gold were used for the colour palette, along with holly and ribbons. The craft fair was suggested through the use of a stitched patchwork look, with sewn letters. The Christmas Craft Fair was organised by Naturally Lewes, so their house-style font, Arima Pro was used for body type. (I built the Naturally Lewes website too. More details here.)

The main design for the poster was put togther in Photoshop and Illustrator. Elements were then taken into After Effects where a small animation was created for social media.

The red used in the poster was deepened in the video as the lighter colour used for print was chosen to compensate for darkening on paper.
